A web based startup providing executive professionals and corporates with a social recruitment platform. Candidates search, apply for executive level positions. Corporates shortlist and select candidates. The platform utilizes the enormous reach of viral social networks like Lin, Fb, Twitter in a highly unique manner to deliver high class results and matches.

Task:

The BusinessElite platform wanted a way of automatically integrating with 8-10 of the top most applicant tracking systems (ATS Systems). A candidate's resume and application when submitted on the BE platform for a company X should automatically get submitted into the ATS system used by the company X.
This was a pre-requisite for the BE platform as some of the major corporate clients considered this a must-have before using BE services for purposes of recruitment.

• Understand the current code base for business elite along with its amazon production host.
• Study top most ATS systems like Taleo, HRSmart, iCIMS, PeopleClick, Kenexa, Brass Ring, Sap-E-Recruiting - study their api's, integration mechanisms and protocols for integrations.
• Talk to various IT personnel and sales teams at corporate clients like Yahoo, MS to understand how they use their ATS systems.
• Study integration mechanisms used by popular job portals like Monster.
• Devise architecture and design for a stand alone java system that can be used for communication between BE and various ATS systems.
• Client server model design for Rails/Java based system.
• Distributed and parallel communication across ATS systems.
• Polling based mechanism - event controller based system.
• Assemble a competitive java team in India to implement the same.

Impact

Unfortunately BusinessElite decided to stop operations because of lack of adequate funding from their investors. They had colossal losses due lack of proper technical guidance and due to usage of improper offshore dev teams.
However, whatever research and work we did was very well appreciated and valued. The biggest regret of the founders was that they did not find us 3 years ago when they started operations. They feel they would have saved a lot of money and gotten a far superior product from us.
